About Economicity

Today's youth has always had an opinion: on ageing leadership, taxes, climate change, international relations, trends, and everything else economic and political. However, what they have always lacked is a safe space where their words and views on a document are encouraged and heard. This simple yet widespread conundrum gave rise to Economicity, with the motto 'Express, Educate, Empower'. Here, we have ensured that each article is imbued with critical thought and meticulous research, offering insights into the economic and political landscape of the world and everything in between. This platform lets the youth unleash their writing potential and report on the good, the bad, the ugly — unhindered, unfiltered, untamed.

Vision

At Economicity, we strive to be the heartbeat of economic thought and deliberation, and synonymous with the best student-led economic, business and political content in the world. We aim to foster an environment where no student is made to feel undervalued or that their creative thinking and efforts are not recognised. We would also like to maintain a space where students can "call things as they see" rather than sugercoating it like the majority of media outlets we see today.

Projects

Economicity's team is linked to several similar initiatives including Greenomics, a Youtube channel, which provides real-world insights from economics to sustainability, and everything in between. The channel saw the production of the documentary on the Okhla Landfill in Delhi, one of India's largest and most infamous waste disposal sites. We also oversee and monitor Aarthik Aadhar, a financial literacy initiative for the underprivileged which has conducted 45 events across 20 cities with 4200 attendees as well as starting a podcast 'EconoEdge' to help people take control of their finances in the best way possible.
